Details: Learn To Play Publishing (formerly Koala Publications) is an international music publishing company with over 20 years experience publishing a large range of educational music titles for print, DVD and CD. (http://www.promusicaustralia.com/koala/koala.htm)

We are currently converting our catalogue to colour and preparing for cross publishing online. We require musically trained individuals with Adobe CS layout and design skills for print and web publishing.

Tasks will include the layout and proofing of existing and new titles as well as the creation and maintenance of website content, catalogues and marketing materials.

Applicants should:

  • have knowledge and experience in current Adobe CS3 workflow practises – InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Bridge – ideally on Mac OSX platform.
  • be a musician with at least basic musical reading skills. (guitar an advantage)

Preference will be shown to candidates with:

  • an understanding of scripting and basic XML/HTML
  • experience with music typesetting and layout (ideally Finale)

Some industry experience and qualifications will be well regarded, but skills, enthusiasm and a current understanding of these technologies is more important.

Must be self motivated with the ability to work quickly and accurately and have good organisational, communication and time management skills.

This is a full time position with flexible hours and an immediate start. Renumeration based on skill and experience.
