My personal RedBubble API

I’m redeveloping the gallery section of my website, WRT Design and rather than managing my images in multiple places I thought wouldn’t it be nice to have an API for RedBubble…

Well, as most of you know there is currently no API for RedBubble members to make use of and there is no public timeline indicating when this might happen. That’s OK though as the RB crew has a lot to deal with on a daily basis and there’s a long list of features that will no doubt come before an API.

So, instead I took matters into my own hands and built my own RB API using PHP. It is a relatively simple script that takes a RB unique image ID (part of the URL) and then uses it to retrieve information about your image including the Title, Description, Tags, small & medium image source and the Purchase URL.

The script essentially acts as a user viewing your image so it can only access publicly available information at this stage. It also currently only handles anything in the “art” section of the public profile but there’s no reason this couldn’t be extended.

I would be happy to share this script with anyone interested or help out with developing a more fully featured API.

Anyway, that’s all for now.
