I am a mixed media artist working with fantastical and psychedelic concepts. I adore the use of narratives within my work. My inspiration when starting a piece often arises from a desire for pretending and story telling while staying influenced by my “real life.”What keeps me interested in a work is the process: the trial and error of my rashly thought up ideas. I relate well to the mutability of this creative process because I feel it reflects much of what living any life is: inconsistency and unpredictable tales. I enjoy the stages my paintings and drawings will go through and how I can see myself progress as an artist and as a human being in their evolution. My works frequently play with the ideas of adulthood vs. childhood and the journeys in between and back and forth.

I will create concepts based on a push and pull sensation i.e. beauty and grossness, comfortable and the uncomfortable, conventional and the unconventional, the appropriate and the inappropriate. The contrasts aim to make the viewer feel inconsistent and strange throughout the viewing of a piece. For me, the push and pull reflects on what balance, self-awareness and reality really are.
