The Dollhouse – The Great Room, Carlsbad Caverns National Park, New Mexico.
Ansel Adams described Carlsbad Caverns as “something that should not exist in relation to human beings. Something that is as remote as the galaxy, incomprehensible as a nightmare, and beautiful in spite of everything.” Mr. Adams was right on with his statement…this natural wonder must be seen to be comprehended !

But it is so closed in! We did spelunking in caves in Missouri and now I have a fear of them!! But so glad you could go down and get these wonderful shots.
Thanks again for viewing & commenting on my work. These caverns can be a bit intimidating due to their massiveness, especially if the lights were to suddenly go out. But as far as the scenery within, they are pretty much unparallelled.
Thanks so much for your comment.

Reminds me of the first paragraph of
Dreamland by Edgar Allan Poe.
By a route obscure and lonely,
Haunted by ill angels only,
Where an Eidolon, named NIGHT,
On a black throne reigns upright,
I have reached these lands but newly
From an ultimate dim Thule-
From a wild clime that lieth, sublime,
Out of SPACE- out of TIME.
Excellent!
