Artist's Description

The honey possum is an Australian marsupial that feeds on pollen and nectar. It has a long, pointed snout, along with a grasping tail and feet. Dryandra is a shrub in the genus Banksia, mostly found in Western Australia. This specimen was observed at the University of California, Santa Cruz, Arboretum in the Australian Gardens. Painted in gouache on paper.
