A family fishes from the bank on the Suwannee River near Chiefland, Florida.
The water was really low on the river at this point in time… the Suwannee River is so dependent on rains that fall in Georgia in the Okeefenokee Swamp, the origin of the river. The Suwannee runs really dark from the tannins, which are created from the oak leaves that fall into and rot in the river. The shoreline shows the deep tea color and creates a rainbow of browns and reds.
This was taken at Clay Landing boat ramp near Manatee Springs State Park.
