I Probably Won't Even Miss You

I guess opening ones eyes and realizing that another reality is taking place just beyond you is an important aspect of reality. One day, I did this, and discovered just under the layers that I had arranged around myself that you weren’t.

The thought that you weren’t didn’t seem right, but I knew that it was a reality. I was left to fend for myself on that day, tossed aside like a crumpled up candy wrapper. The reasons for the tossing were not intelligible to me, sounding like a bunch of garbled gibberish, or perhaps even implausible excuses.

I hurt knowing that you weren’t , but knew that I would have to be, so I saddled my horse and leaping up took off in a gallop into the future. Without you. After all of the debris is washed away, and time smooths the wrinkles from my feelings, I’ll be fine. I probably won’t even miss you.
