Is There A Gentle Smile?

Is there a gentle smile
In this harshened world?

Does a soft voice speak
To offer comfort and love?

When my soul is aggrieved
Is there somewhere to turn?

Who is willing to help and who
Will dis-spell the worries?

Is there delight to find
In an endless charade?

A place to find peace
In this sad, soft parade?

Come now to me love,
My kind warrior and prince.

See, it is not hard
Bring sweet love to the sense.

And offer the kindness
Needed by my sad soul.

Bring to me tender words
Take me to the whole.

The stars say the other
Will bring this to me.

Amidst the long voyage
My soul happens to be.
