Artist's Description

…He sighed, standing momentarily outside the barn,
chipping clay from the rowels of his spurs,
chaps ragged at the hems from years of scrub
scraping against the now wrinkled leather
What man would work this hard for a farmers reward?
What city-slicker would understand the call of the land?
Each morning to stand on a shaded porch
to watch a restless mare in the corral,
to smell the air rising off the stretches of field
He scrunched the tattered brim,
stepped off the scuffed wood landing
There were fences to mend these days…

Written by Fellow RB Artist Wayne Cook

End Of The Trail is a signed, original, pastel and prismacolor pencil drawing.
Drawn on card stock, acid free, bonded no tooth artist drawing paper, sprayed with a final professional artist protective fixitive.
12"X12" in size.
This is dedicated to The End Of The Trail we all come to eventually.

The romance of the West, Southwest and the Cowboy… is a subject I always return to.
I live in Colorado, Arizona and Nevada… so I have an endless supply of personal photography and photo’s from friends for inspiration for these drawings.
I personally developed this sharp focus prismacolor pencil technique to make my drawings come alive.
My studio is located in Mesquite/Arizona desert.

Viewings to date of this piece are 11,027.

Thanks for viewing my work.
