Two astronauts stand watch over the centre of Adelaide heralding the arrival of the 2010 Adelaide Fringe Festival. Around town a number of smaller astronauts adorn the sides of some of Adelaide’s city buildings.
These two are about 20 feet tall and have made Victoria Square their temporary home. A few days ago they had to be deflated for safety as Adelaide was buffetted by strong winds. But once the winds left they were back. I’m just glad that I wasn’t the one that had to huff and puff to blow them up.
The Adelaide Fringe Festival runs from 19th Feb 2010 to 14th March 2010 with over 700 shows and exhibitions to enjoy. For more information visit www.adelaidefinge.com.au
