I always knew you were a “Puppet Master.” LOL Awesome creation!!!
Thank you very much, John. Just at some extent :-)
For too long women have been set aside in society and have been made to satisfy men’s whims’.I see here that women. represented by this one, are finally freeing themselves free. There is still a long way to go with the commercials that dictates what and how to dress and go to the expectations of a perfect body and there is still the human traffic of women and young girls to be sexual toys and slaves.Great piece Sergie.
I appreciate your comment, Iris. And again… do you see? your perception and interpretation is so different from what I had in mind. But it doesn’t mean your thinking is wrong, it just expands the drawing concept. Thank you, Iris
Wonderful, intricate drawing. Such great expressions on the faces. One of the things I enjoy about your drawings, Sergei, is that no matter how carefully I look, next time I’ll always see something more. I’m beginning to think you add things when we’re not looking :)) The woody textures are fantastic, the touch of shavings from the chisel …..
Thank you very much, Alenka. I am glad you like it and it made you write your puppet on a stringBravo
Ah, I do see what you mean. I totally agree with you; art and poetry is always open to subjective interpretation. I read JR’s comment and I smiled for I do see you sometimes as a puppeteer. You may have or have not an idea where your pencil will lead you at times, but whatever masterpieces are created I am thankful that you let us see them and admire them. I am intrigued by them for it is not just your way of looking at things but your perception of what is going on with humanity and what intrigues me most is that puzzle you throw at us by usually not giving away what is your view or meaning with your pieces., and that is the time I feel the Puppeteer start pulling at our strings. You must know by this time that this is a compliment. Now will you be kind enough to let me on its meaning? lol
Forgive me for trying to express it in words, Iris. Puppeteers here: Pinocchio, Frankenstein’s monster and Mr. Punch, the creatures are made to be the puppets. The concept (if simplified) can be close to idiom “You reap what you sow”.
Outstanding art!!!! I love the changing texture and dynamics of all the characters…… It is so true that some clowns may have puppeting our lifes for a while :-)
Thank you very much, Vitaliy. I knew you would pay attention to the textures :-) Do you mean the only way to avoid manipulation is to become one of the clowns? :-)

Best summed up in an old Simon and Garfunkel song that goes in part “I’d rather be a hammerthat a nail” . Your work is both fascinating and well detailed!!! Bill
