Artist's Description

She stands alone in the stillness of the night
A stark silhouette against the desert sky.
The rising moon traces the lines on her face
Gently and with understanding, reading the story of her life,
Carved by elements in a language sans judgment.

She waits for the sunrise to warm and caress her,
As her shadow circles in an endless dance
Before its own mirror.
Ever sensual, yet unrequited,
Her essence is the divine.
Hers is the heartbeat of a living Earth,
A feminine spirit that pulses with time and tide,
The object of endless worship and adoration
Yet one caught in the lonely irony
Of her solitary passage through eternity.
