Captured with my Nikon S6200 camera in macro mode, a pretty orange flower growing in a garden in South Shields, Tyne and Wear, North of England. Picture taken on 1 September 2015. The flower seems to be singing a lament that summer is over. The petals of the calendula are edible and for this reason the flower has come to be referred to as a pot marigold. However, I don’t think that I’ll be eating one any time soon. They are much too pretty for that!
