Artist's Description

Pastel on Fabriano
This is a reflection of me, the girl in the middle is me clinging to the cross, my religion, beliefs (Christianity) while the girl reaches for God (the door with light). She is also pulled down by evil things of the world that pull her down (The hand coming out from the red door at the bottom left corner).
This is the struggle she faces everyday, the never ending battle. The colours around the outside is the person people see me to be (cheery, bubbly, colourful) but the brick wall she puts up around herself stops people from realising what really goes on in her world.
I love this, its lead me to expressing different experiences I face with my faith as well as expressions facing different issues in our world we live in.
