Barbara grew up in The Bronx. She lives with her husband, two children, two dogs and a dozen backyard chickens in the picturesque countryside in the Hudson Valley of New York State. Barbara received a BA from Lehman College and is a self taught artist. Barbara finds she learns best through observation, reflection and enjoying the process.
Barbara’s deep love for animal life is reflected in her work. She enjoys exploring different styles and working with various mediums such as acrylic, oil, pens and pencils. Working in this way by experimenting with different media is fun, exciting and liberating. Barbara finds that through exploration and testing limits helps to keep the creative spark ignited. The artwork tends to be filled with rich colors and texture. Barbara’s style is best described as eclectic.
Barbara is a contributing artist for Artists in Cellophane. She creates miniature works of art on wood blocks that dispense through recycled cigarette vending machines placed in museums, universities and art shops around the world.
