At 6:49 PM men had just left this old boat when I stopped to take one last photo from the shore. They had been still here and were in a shot I took a bit earlier while walking beside the river, but when I reached the end of the trail and returned for one last photo, they were gone, leaving the boat tied up for the night. I liked the raggedy reflection, and on this busy Thames River the water is never still enough for a mirror sharp one. Sail boats, speed boats and a ferry boat kept the water in motion. Even the tide affects this River. The cloudy sky was interesting on this evening. The Groton Monument at Fort Griswold is visible across the River.
