I noticed this bit of fluff blowing in the wind on a steep bank leading down to Quabbin Reservoir. As I got closer I realized that as the wind blew, the fluff covered the milkweed pod. I waited patiently for the wind to shift as my feet sank slowly into the bank. Finally it was just perfect, the pod with its contents on full display, the delicate beauty of nature!
