This unusual snow event in early November caught everyone by surprise… including this Beech tree still covered with autumn leaves! Snow usually waits till January in Connecticut (USA).
The snow on the ground is real, but I’ve had to replicate the actual flurries in Paint Shop Pro to show how magical this storm really was. ☺ I took many photos, but this one is the most colorful thanks to that Beech tree.

Two textures are courtesy of pareeerica on Flickr and 5 other layers are my own. Edited in Paint Shop Pro.
Location: Connecticut (USA).
Dedicated to life’s little surprises.

I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the sweet earth’s flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.
Joyce Kilmer. 1886–1918
