Strawflowers must have a long season of growth to develop the flowers before fall. These bold, colorful daisies are papery, stiff and everlasting when dried. Cut them for drying before the yellow centers are visible; use wire for stems, air dry upside down in the dark and use them in dried flower arrangements, wreaths, and even homemade potpourri. This bunch is still growing in the Harkness garden.
