Pioneer cabin located in the Cades Cove area of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park
The Olivers bought land in the Cove in 1826 and this cabin site remained in the family until the Park was established. The house is typical of many found on the eastern frontier in the mid-1850s, and reflects the skills and techniques brought into the mountains by descendants of British and European immigrants.

great angle for this one, i hardly ever walk up there..lol focus and exposure are awesome on it
excellent composition Gary!
This is wonderful, I really like this, a lot….excellent angle, and a good call on getting that fence in the shot!
Angle is very nice on this shot, that is one beautiful cabin, they did good for back in the day!
My mom nearly stepped on a copperhead right off the back porch here a few years ago. Interseting composition with the fence in the foreground.
Nice one Gary!
I’ve got to do this hike. Haven’t really spent much time in the Cove.
Now there’s a great place! Congrats on your features.
