That even the Night cannot escape

In the mind that suffers, the tormenting, waking moments bring their damage as daylight will burn. That, that crooked menace that rages against the boundary rocks and the devastating attack, fury. The agonizing vandalism, it defiles this sacred deify in me, my radiant spirit diminished. I burn against myself, my own felo de se. And no more the sun can see and shine, so forlorn into the coveting darkness, the pitch abyss.

Artist's Description

The word, felo de se, is a Latin word; translated, literally meaning ‘a felon against himself’. It means suicide. The poems talks of the massacre of the soul in a suicide. “The coveting darkness, the pitch abyss” refers to the hell we fall into. Deify refers to deity or divine providence. I represent the spirit as a divine thing the massacre against it.
