Artist's Description

Hi

The rider in this image is in mid ’ FLOW ’ of 2 huge berms, being 8ft high at its highest part. This is a very fast section, with there being a 12ft drop leading into the 1st berm. Ive ridden this section and can tell you, the speed coming into the second berm is frightning. The force trying to stop you making the turn into the second berm is crazy, and thats coming from an adrenaline junky lol :)

The reason i choose this composition is because i wanted to give the viewer a sense of were the rider was coming from and were he was going.

Camera settings >

Shutter speed >> 1/160sec
Aperture >> f/6.3
Focal length >> 38mm
Metering Mode >> Pattern
Flash >> no flash ( there was enough light coming throught the tee’s )

It was shot in RAW and later converted in PS CS2. Adjustments were, levels, curves, colour correction and reduce noise. It was then saved as a Tiff file for storage and a JPEG for loading to here.

The location is, Ae Forest, Dumfries Scotland.

Thanks alot for taking the time to look.

Stevie
