Artist's Description

The English Electric Canberra served with the RAF for 55 years from 1951 through to 2006 and was the RAF’s first jet bomber. Being unarmed it was dependent upon its speed to evade the enemy. XH134 is a PR9 variant (Photo-reconnaissance) and was one of the last three in service up to 2006. This Photograph was taken in 2014 of the fully restored aircraft now with the Midair Squadron, a display team “keeping History flying”.
