Artist's Description

This is the second photo I have taken of Duck Creek Utah. This one was taken a few hours prior to my blue image of Duck Creek. This photograph was taken prior to the storm coming in and not as close to sunset. I found the colors very bright and uplifting vs. the other more moody shot.

Information on the lake and photo:
Duck Creek Pond, Utah is just off of Utah Scenic Highway 14 on what is commonly known as Cedar Mountain. This area is also known as the Markagunt Plateau and is part of the Dixie National Forest. There is a creek which feeds into this pond and many people fish during the summer months, however winter provides a very more surreal look to this pond. Other closeby lakes include Navajo Lake and Panguitch Lake. This water body is known both as a small lake and a pond.

This photograph was taken with a Canon Elan, 20mm lens, film photography! The pond is very small, but seems a lot larger due to the wide-angle lens. It was only around 50 feet wide by 75 feet long.
