Artist's Description

The Burr Trail is a paved and off-road backcountry route extending from the mountain town of Boulder down through Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument into Capital Reef National Park and then to Bullfrog in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.

This path is off of Scenic Byway 12 which is one of the most spectacular roads and shouldn’t be missed, especially in fall. The road goes all the way from Red Canyon (near Bryce Canyon) to Captial Reef National Park. When you get on the Burr trail (named after John Burr), you will have great views of the Henry Mountains and lower Capital Reef! If you have the time, there are some amazing hikes which bring you into The Gulch and the Circle Cliffs.

This was taken off of a wall which seemed to have interesting etchings on it and illuminated in orange hues. I couldn’t figure out how to capture this with my macro so I used a 300mm lens and stood back.
