Artist's Description

Bryce Canyon National Park is filled with amazing hoodoo and rock structures which have eroded over time to make some of the most fascinating natural images in Utah and the USA. Bryce Canyon National Park is named for one of the many canyons which form a series of horseshoe-shaped amphitheaters on the edge of the Paunsaugunt Plateau in southern Utah. Erosion has carved the colorful limestone and sandstone formations into spires, fins, arches and mazes. This one particular photograph was taken late afternoon as the sun was setting giving a very warm orange glow to an area along the path known as the SIlent City.
