Artist's Description

Mycena epipterygia cover a log on the Balfour Track, NW Tasmania. This is part of the old bridle path to the town of Balfour. It isn’t strictly old growth forest as some trees were selectively felled by earlt settlers, but the character of this part of the forest is unchanged.

I’ve entered this in the dof challenge as it was taken with that in mind. It was taken with a 14mm lens which can focus quite close (as you can see) but still keep the distance in focus when used at around f16.
