Netherlands, Holland, Weesp (Wikipedia )
Weesp, a small fortified town south of Amsterdam, with it’s historical city-centre, it’s canals, windmills and fortifications, is a beautiful little place.
The many flower decorations make a lovely, picturesque place…
No wonder that I came home with loads of photographs! :D
This pic: “the Town Hall of Weesp which was built by the Dutch architect Jacob Otten Husley between 1772-1776. The building was not only used as the seat for the Municipality but also used as a Court of Justice. Evidence of this is found in the presence of two dungeons and a ‘Vierschaar’ (this was the actual place where the sentence was publicly read out to the suspect) in the Town Hall.” (source: www.gemeentemuseumweesp.nl )
