Introduction: About me and my work

Hi, welcome on my Bubble-site!
My name is Steppeland – well, actually, that’s the pseudonym I like to use online, and for my photographic work. My online friends call me Steppe.
I’m female, Flemish (Northern part of Belgium) and living in the Netherlands, Amsterdam.
I am a general photographer, with special focus on nature photography, street photography and photo journalism. Every now and then, I also do some design and digital artwork , often based on my own photography.
I just love variation, and enjoy discovering new art forms! :)…

My nature photography has an aesthetic and a documentary aspect – and results from a personal encounter with the subjects I photograph. My work shows the beauty and variety of landscapes, flowers, plants, and animals – and very often at the same time, share

JOURNAL 1 : Giving it a start – July 31, 2008

Hello everyone,

I am Steppeland. I have been a member of redbubble for some time now, but never got any further than browsing around a little, and getting some feel of what is going on here.
And I must say, I like it.
So I finally decided to give it a go, and will start uploading some of my best photographs here.

I always have loved photographing, and since I got my first camera on my 12th birthday (some 38 years ago now, LOL), I was always fascinated by making photographs and trying to catch the beauty I see around me – particularly in nature and people of all cultures.
