Taken after a recent snowfall on a road trip through Arizona and Utah. As the day heated up the snow thawed causing this steam effect.
This part of the trip took in the historic Route 66 (the mother road) in Arizona, just on the outskirts of Seligman.
Shot with a Nikon D300s and a Nikkor 24/85 lens, set at a focal length of 85mm. Taken in aperture priority mode and in RAW. Settings include F4.5, shutter speed 1/2000th sec, ISO 100, and metering was done in Matrix. The white balance was set to shade.
