What a great day. First my new Canon 7 D arrives!!!!
Then I find this camera for sale in a second hand shop, still in its original metal case with a range of five coloured filters, spare 50 ml lens, two flash units, original books and tools!
This photo rifle or Fotosniper was manufactured in a factory at Krasnogorsk near Moscow.
The foto sniper is a combination of a Zenit – 122S semi automatic reflex camera. Its is coupled with a TAIR-3 S long focus lens all mounted on a special metal alloy rifle-type stock, which has an integrated trigger activated shutter release and focusing mechanism.
The stock is held firmly against the shoulder, the camera is aimed as a rifle or shotgun would be, and the trigger is pulled to take the photograph.
Not the sort of camera I would like to point at dignitaries or any other protected person….might get in trouble.
This is what they mean as “Point and Shoot” I think.
Something to keep that appears to be reasonably rare especially in the great condition that the whole thing has been kept in.
