Artist's Description

This old wooden pier in Cobh (pronounced Cove), Ireland (south coast of Cork County) was the boarding area for the last 123 passengers who were ferried out to the anchored RMS Titanic.
The original offices of the White Star Line ( left of the pier) has become the Titanic History Museum. Records show that only 43 of the 123 survived.
The Titanic sank on April 14th, 1912…
