Stanage Edge is the longest and probably most popular of the edges in North Derbyshire. The grindstones were abandoned when modern materials replaced the grit stone which was used in the steel industry in nearby Sheffield. I have done this painting by bequest for Weston Park Cancer Hospital Charity. They are going to auction it, I hope lots of people bid for it!
