Artist's Description

There is probably not a single Australian family who does not have one person in it who was touched by the awful tragedy of Anita Cobby.

Her story has become infamous here at home and also on the world stage.

Even though the events that took place occurred long ago, it is something most ‘Aussies’ will never forget.

Anita lived in Blacktown, which is a suburb nearby to where we live.

Our local council decided to make a small park her ‘dedicated’ space forever more.

There are some beautiful tributes in the park, such as this man made sculpture. The flowers representing renewal of life in all its majesty.

This man made sign/sculpture is at the entry of the park. It is quite striking, made from bare metal, the flowers are designed to both attract and dispel the light according to the time of day.
