The anniversary of my Niece Hailies Passing was on November 3rd 2012. We all gathered in the local park, bought balloons and attached messages from all of us to her. I wrote this to read before we released the balloons to the sky. It all turned out so beautiful despite the sadness of not having her here with us any more.
After I read this and we released our balloons the wierdest thing happened. It was a cloudy day but the sky opened up in one small circle and light poured through it, there was even a tinge of pink within the clouds. For me this was comforting, maybe a sign from Heaven that Hailie was there with us somehow, and that she was letting us know she got our messages. I do have a picture of this which I hope to post real soon, it was amazing and touching. I hope you enjoy this, I feel that for anyone who has ever lost somebody they can read this and find some comfort. I hope that you do… God Bless and much love.

In Memory Of Hailie Rose Coman

As we gather here today, in memory of Hailie Rose Coman, I would like us to take this time to reflect, and also to share some words of wisdom from our savior the Lord Jesus Christ.

When Hailie passed, in a way we had to say goodbye; and in her own way she in turn was saying goodbye to us to join the Heavenly Father in Heaven.

Thinking about this I wanted to share a prayer or a passage to read on this anniversary of Hailie’s passing in regards to all our loss; but I also wanted it to be something to remember her by that would also bring comfort to those who love and miss her so.

As I was flipping through the bible I stumbled upon a passage which illustrated Jesus’ wisdom on saying goodbye. It touched my soul and that’s why I decided to share it with all of you on this day of remembrance.

These words were spoken from Jesus to his disciples on the day of his crucifixion, and could be comparable to those that Hailie may have spoken, to comfort her loved ones on this anniversary of her passing…

Before Jesus was crucified his loved ones and followers questioned why he had to leave this earth and could not take them with him to this place called Heaven. With clarity Jesus gave them answers, although at the time they could not fully comprehend the dimensions of what he was telling them.

“I go to my Father”, he said. “You cannot come with me yet, but do not worry, I wont leave you alone. The Holy Spirit will be your constant companion, and I must go so that he can come. While I am gone he will teach you everything you need to know. I will be gone, by my time, only a little while, though it may seem long to you. When I come again, it will be to take you to where I have been all this time, fixing up a special place for all of us to be together… forever. After that, we will never have to say goodbye ever again.”

As I read this and thought about it, I found great peace. I truly hope you do too because it means that the goodbyes we say here on earth are not eternal. We shall all meet again one day in Heaven. Amen.
