Beauty and Brokeness

Beauty and brokenness
A pot without clay
No words to describe
The outcome of day
I sit here and search
A heart shaped mind
To hear the voice
Of one long gone
A loud whisper
A quiet shout
Recalls to the present
A closing past
A whirlwind of memories
A cascade of hope
Showers like a flood
In the summer of life
The voice of reason
Invades my dreams
The peace of love
Seeps through my skin
Beauty and brokenness
A pot within clay
A tree of life
Loses colourful decay
Constantly turning
This world of mine
Three leaps forward
And one falls back
A loud whisper
A quiet shout
Recalls to the present
A closing past.

Artist's Description

I wrote this poem a few years ago now, it signalled the move from childish ways of writing to what i feel to be a more grown up approach. It has also become a style of writing that i find to be deep and a style you either like or don’t.
