Like a Lamb to Slaughter

She was never there,
that helpless lamb,
torn in agony,
I could never calm.

She pleaded his life,
as tears grew,
I gritted my teeth,
and offered nothing for a clue.

She hated me,
I, a stranger with the eyes,
I saw everything without choice,
a gave silence for his disguise.

I heared his words of pain,
of the psycho with the riegns,
throwing plates to ease her heart,
as he wished the key to chains.

And here she is,
wanting inside,
I resume the statue,
and hide warmth not to find.

Her claws scraping at my skull,
and black eyes to pierce my own,
what a true figure of a beauty,
big eyes and tears she had for loan.

The black wolf who holds the lead,
circled me in rage,
she kept the face of pain,
as I tried to turn the page.

I thought of all his words,
and played his life in thought,
as I starred down the barrel,
and escaped with just a shot.

I stood still in all the dark,
and looked at this empty man,
then looked at what had my shoulder,
I just lived her evil plan.

I sighed and took her hand,
I felt her smile through all the tears,
she thinks she has another,
she knows none of all my years…..
