Artist's Description

The story behind this image is:

This photo is a panorama from our recent Blue Mountains Photography Group outing in Glen Davis.

It was taken on the second day (Sunday) after the mist cleared just after sunrise.
I got up early surrounded by mist.
The Idea was I wanted to get above it and satisfy my curiosity as I have never been in this area before. I spotted an image i wanted to take the day before.
I followed a mob of Kangaroos and heard a noisy flock of Cockatoo’s so I was on the hunt.

I climbed up the mountain behind our accommodation aiming for its summit. in the spirit of adventure crossing barbed wire fences on the way.
I captured a few panoramas of the light in the mist below, trying to capture the light through the mist.
I set up my tripod and I waited patiently as the mist lifted revealing the cliff line and valley below. What an amazing experience!

I was using my Nikon D7100 camera with a Circular Polariser and a Cokin Graduated Filter in portrait vertically.
I cleaned the lens with a micro fibre cloth to avoid any moisture/dust (18-35 mm Nikkor)

This is a series of photos stitched together from left to right over lapping them so that photomerge in photoshop could be used later to put the images together.

I came home to Glenbrook and edited it in Photoshop on my Mac.
Then I printed it on my new Epson P800 printer.
I cut and made my first white cardboard matt with a bevel and taped it behind ready for viewing.
I hope you enjoy this photo.
God Bless …
