A New Day

I awoke to a new day today, leaving yesterday behind me

A rejected pain from a lost love was lifted and I was free to fly for the moment

Kindness matters in a world with so much hurt, but love is vital in a world that is supposed to matter.

Regrets from love lost is the only way the ego can protect its arrogant nature

So, let the pain flow anyways and let go of any need to understand it

What is meant to be will be and holding on to situations that deny or cannot understand you, unconsciously steals a persons dignity

I was understanding and allowed space and time to do its thing, but the distance and silence was a constant reminder of the way things are not supposed to be

I should have been your get away, from the stresses of your day.

The same Stresses forcing you farther away from me

Naturally, I began to question your distant ways of dealing and the doubt lingered, even when I desired it to go away

With my intent to bring us closer, I let my understanding work its magic, but the silence continued to haunt me

Friends are pure beauty, but the painful stings from separation and rejection of a love gone without explanation can cause piles of unanswered questions

However, your gentle ways are a constant reminder of your true nature

If only for a moment we were one, I know the reason for our union was to build a foundation that would last a lifetime
