Artist's Description

A turtle will always sell you some nice fish. Pencil on 100lb Bristol.

A portrait from my Random Folk series. A member of The Thousand Races, a collective species of Earth’s future, the descendants of the many genetically engineered chimerical species humans had created in the decadence of their final years as an intact species. When human civilization collapsed, The Thousand Races shed their restraints and took over.

RoyJoe met a “human” once, and he’s not entirely convinced that they created The Thousand Races. “So they have a zaftig helix of primate template. Big deal. The Baboon Brothers over on Salt Street vizzed more human than this guy did. He was shaped like a pear and pale as me belly. Do ya really think that all this glory be built by people shaped like pears?”
