Arguably the most successful and misunderstood higher animal species on the planet, cockroaches may have our respect for transcending the epochs unchanged, surviving mass extinctions and proving able to thrive in the harshest conditions, but humans as a species loathe them, for they will doubtless continue on long after our world is dust.
