Sitting and Shifting

The mornings are very foggy. I cut through the fog with much precision, wondering where I am going and what I am doing. Shifting uneasy in the car seat, driving slowly. This is not fun. Another day of just sitting and wondering about how to do what you really enjoy. Wow, just one of the thousand and thousand of munchkins off to another day at the salt mine. If it’s a salt mine, why do you stay? You really do not stay for the money. You really do not stay for the people. You really stay because there is that little voice in you that said, “I will stay for three years.”

Commitment, it was your word. If your word is no good, you are no good. That is what my dad always said. You plug along and get nowhere and yet you do it day after day. Creatures of habit or just creatures?
