the cult of the valerian ciggarrette

a yellow cadillac careens down an empty stretch of highway
she and i are together again
i no longer know her name and she says my face is so unfimiliar i guess we have grown past those childish things
as we race towards the setting sun in the gigantic mouth of death….
do you still love me, trust me
do you believe that this impending fire is our destiny
Donte what is there to cherish in the world when every laugh is crrippling
and every new day loses its sense of finiteness
what is there left to love in the world when we can never be lovers
only admirers of those in love
donte are you there
iguess i busy was enduring the curves
watching the lines in the street run from my madness only to be crushed beneath the tires
i held my breath knowing that the morning will bring mourning
that i have no ability to comprehend
i wanna see the sky again
i wanna watch the cloud configurations dissolve into the nothingness
i didnt want to be there in that sensually tragic place
where her hands were as soft as her smile and her soul tasting the insanity that rushed past the window like phantoms she speak anymore and i had nothing to say the dream ended there but i understood the reality of it
