The Human Misconception of Emotion

The simple acceptance of the way things are is more than a hard concept to grasp. It is in a lot of ways easier to accept someone for who or what they are, than to grant understanding to why things are that way. To fathom true realization of unbridled understanding is not impossible. However actually accomplishing the same is almost remarkably not as simple.
People will act or be who they are biologically programed to be. Situations that are traumatic and others that are uplifting can shape consciousness into reacting certain ways. Although this does not change the person whom is subjected to such stimuli in any true way. More often than not the only things that truly change are emotional response.
Logically this is easily how I would describe the social skills amongst the general population. As another person approaches you the average individuals first response would not be out of logic. Most would feel one of two things. The first would be ‘’guarded,’’ who is this person, what do they want. The second is ‘’intrigued,’’ again who is this person and what do the they want. Both of which is an emotional response. Its how you felt about being approached by someone that you were unfamiliar with. However not simply that someone was approaching you. The same exist in conversation. During conversation most response is generated by an emotional backlash at what was said. Think if you will that your in conversation, something is said that your uncomfortable with. How do you gauge your response. All answers to that question would be, an emotionally generated response.
With that said, would it not be a fair plight to say the people in general are emotionally driven. Logic unfortunately only exist in most peoples problem solving skills. Does this mean that on a daily basis that everyone you meet is emotionally driven and uses logic only when necessary. I, myself would say its not exactly untrue.
I’ve heard said that America is a Prozac nation. Meaning that the majority of our country is irreversibly diagnosed with some kind of chronic depression. But do we allow ourselves to believe that such prognosis may be a little misguided. For the most part not at all, we will believe whatever a doctor tells us. They are in fact licensed to do so, but does that give reason to forget that your mind is powerful enough to guide you. Without help of prescription medication. Now I know there are those that need medicines to help facilitate the process of daily life. However, and coming to the point here. Its not necessary for those who are a little more emotional than others. You are in fact normal and act normally because you are that way.
Understanding yourself is the only answer to the decision of medical treatment. No one else can tell you that you have a problem and its cure work unless you have understood what problems you do have. Maybe I’m wrong and I am positive that some head doc out there would love to tell me just how wrong I am. But like all other personal incites, this is only opinion. All I am saying is, find your happiness, don’t let some shrink or doctor tell you how. Let them help, maybe. But only you can make yourself happy. And no medical professional can truly understand you better than yourself.
