Feelings From a Drink

Hey up there, where the angels fly
I sit alone and think, and try to see why
When you were here you could make me soar
Now that you’re gone I can’t get off the floor
Thoughts of you, would make me smile
Then you told me you’d be gone for awhile
It’s been too long, I want to see your face
You’d take me with you and we’d leave this place

You’d lift me up to where I could fly
You and me and the deep blue sky
We’d go so fast we’d start to twirl
How could I’ve been with such a beautiful girl
When you left me how my heart did sink
Now my feelings flow from this drink
Everyone told me you would drop me fast
I guess I was the only one who thought it could last

This glass bottle has become my best friend

Sometimes I wish that my life would just end
I’d go away and just leave this place
Then I won’t hurt if I see your face
This is a warning to upcoming guys
Don’t gaze into her deep hazel eyes
They’ll bring you in and hold you tight
They’ll make you want to stay all night
She’ll be out the next day with someone new
She’ll have not time to remember you

She’ll lift you up to where you can fly
Just you and her and the deep blue sky
You’ll go so fast you’ll start to twirl
How could you’ve been with such a beautiful girl
When she leaves you how your heart will sink
And your feelings will flow from a drink
Everyone told you she’d drop you fast
You were the only one who thought it could last.
