JPG Takes A Hard Hit - Closing Down

JPG Magazine says goodbye.

Unfortunately in the past months JPG has made an extreme effort to make the business sustain itself. Now they are announcing they have reached the end of the line. Even after seeking out buyers, speaking with potential investors, and pitching creative efforts they have had no success.

Therefore on Monday, January 5, 2009, JPGMag.com is shutting down for good. They do note that anyone that has work on the site, they are extrememly proud of and there has been amazing talent on the site. The community consisted of 200,000 photographers over the last two years.

Anyhow, for those of you here that were a part of the site, this is the news.

Also, if you have any friends on the site, you may want to get with them over the weekend so that you may keep in touch as well. And hey, if they aren’t on RedBubble, invite them on over.

The Editor In Chief, Laura Brunow Miner says “We’re soggy-eyed messes, but it is what it is. At that, JPGers, we bid you goodbye, and good luck in 2009 and the future.”
