I am so proud, My son is going to have work shown in and EXHIBITION!!!!

Hello my family of bubblers! I am so excited! My 5 year old son, Jaden got a letter today from the Shennandoah Valley Art Center. He is going to have work featured in an EXHIBIT!!! I wanted to share my happiness, I am so proud of him! The letter reads as follows…….

Dear Jaden,

Congratulations for being included in the exhibit Art Quilters: The Next Generation. The exhibit showcases art quilts created under the direction of art teachers by student artists in grades K-12 from the public schools. Final selections for the exhibit were made by your art teacher and your artwork was chosen to be part of an exhibit.

The exhibit is one of three art quilt exhibits hosted by the Shennandoah Valley Art Center September 4 – October 1, 2008 in conjunction with the regional month-long quilt festival Quilts: Past, Present & Future. The second exhibit at the Shennandoah Valley Art Center will be Tangible Comforts, featuring quilts from the Shennandoah Valley Quilters Guild. Exhibited in the Members Gallery will be the third exhibit consisting of quilts and quilt inspired artwork from the art center membership.

The exhibits will share an opening reception on Saturday, September 6, 2008 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Shennandoah Valley Art Center. The reception and exhibits are free and open to the public. You are welcome to invite family and friends. Exhibitors are asked to please come to the reception.

Best Regards,

Betty Walker
SVAC Exhibits Coordinator
