Alone

I’m standing here alone, waiting for someone to take me home. Reaching for the stars, blinded by the headlights of the passing cars. I take a step back, trying to stay on track. Take me to a place with no pain. Always trying to refrain.

I’m sitting here alone, waiting for the bus to take me home. Headphones plugged into my ears, sunglasses hide all my fears. I take a look around, trying to take in the sights and sounds. Where’s this life taking me? A better life for me to see.

Do you know how it is to be alone? Waiting to hear the ringing phone. I look at the sky, the mountains stretch so high. I wish for someone to share all this with, staying away from the filth.

I’m waiting here alone, waiting for something to take me home. No Place to really go, I’ve got nothing to really show. I take a look at my life, while holding a knife. I’m so worried about my health. Always trying to improve myself.

Are you alone? With no place to call a home. This is the now, not the then. This is how, not back when, we’re all alone.
