Shadow of the Colossus is quite possibly my favorite game of all time, second only to Metal Gear Solid.

The presentation, and story – or lack thereof, really – stuns me. The fact that a Playstation 2 was even capable of a game that beautiful – coupled with the fact that it’s even more beautiful in the HD remaster, and that the remaster really hasn’t changed much from the original title – is absolutely amazing.

Whoever the girl is [It’s never really revealed, leaving her relationship to Wander up to your imagination], Wander is willing to risk his life and overcome pretty much anything just to save her.

As far as the shirt is concerned, it’s based on the fact that Wander [The main character] has to climb these enormous mountains of beings and take them down in order to “save the girl”.

It takes guts – and just a slight bit of psychosis, possibly – to do what he did.

The sigil and text are all done in Illustrator. The sigil itself representing the “weak point” found on each of the Colossi [I never knew there was a plural of that word]. It’s not the exact same sigil, as that seems to be impossible to find, and it’s hard to recreate from screenshots of the game – it’s usually obscured in fur and motion blur.

The sigil used can be found in the Official Art Book – it was the cover of the book [Under the protective sleeve]. I combined the two scans of the cover, and traced it out in Illustrator as best I could.

It’s a little rough, but I actually kind of like the effect – feels like it’s closer to the real thing, maybe.
