Artist's Description

THIS PHOTO OF MY FISHING PARTNER, HIS WOLFDOG-MAX AND MY WOLFDOG-DEOGEE, MAX’S SISTER, ARE ALL GONE NOW. WE LOST MAX FIRST TO CANCER, THEN I LOST DEOGEE TO CANCER, THEN I LOST GARY, MY FRIEND, TO LIVER CANCER. THOUGH THEY ARE ALL GONE NOW, I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THE TIMES I SPENT WITH THEM AND THE MEMORIES I MADE WITH THEM. I’LL NEVER FORGET THE DAY GARY CAUGHT AND RELEASED HIS FIRST AND ONLY 30 POUND KING SALMON WHILE FISHING WITH ME IN MY BOAT. THE SALMON DIDN’T EVEN KNOW IT WAS HOOKED UNTIL IT FOUND ITSELF IN A NET, THEN BOOM, JUST LIKE THAT THE SALMON WAS OUT OF THE NET AND SWIMMING AWAY. THE RELEASE WAS ACCIDENTAL. FRIENDSHIPS LIKE FISH IN A NET ARE TEMPORARY, MEMORIES ARE FOREVER.
